About Us

OUR THEOLOGY

We believe that Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and has sent his Spirit to live in our hearts and lives. Hope Fellowship Christian Reformed Church bases these convictions on both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Our theology is further summarized in the following confessional standards: The Apostles’ Creed, The Heidelberg Catechism, The Belgic Confession, and The Canons of Dort. As a church our highest calling is to proclaim the good news of salvation by grace in our worship services, and to live lives of thankfulness to God by providing opportunities for spiritual growth and by reaching out to our world in love and mercy. We have a very rich history here in Denver. Established in 1953, originally as Third Christian Reformed Church, Hope Fellowship has undergone many changes to reach and engage with multiple generations! To learn more about our history, check out this document: The History of Our Church.

our pastor

Sheri began as Pastor of Faith Formation at Hope Fellowship in 2022. In her role, Sheri oversees the different ministries of the church, provides pastoral care for people in the congregation and surrounding community, is involved in all aspects of congregational life, and assists with preaching and worship. Her passion in ministry is to see people’s lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Pointing people to Christ in and through all things is her greatest desire and joy. Outside of work, Sheri enjoys being outdoors, watching and playing sports, reading, yard work, piecing puzzles together, and hanging out with friends and family. Sheri received a master’s degree from Calvin Theological Seminary.
